False followers of Christ put on the spirit but are FOR the flesh. Not for sinning but for living forever. Jesus warned "he who would save his soul will lose it". We must never give up the hope of the reward that is with Jesus, but it is coming ONLY with righteousness. To try to save one's self is not righteousness. Jesus is the savior and the WAY Jesus is like God is God is the savior also. So there is your trinity (can I say FY).
