Tradition has it that 2 Peter 3:4 is a prophecy about what the unbelievers say. But it is much more likely it is a prophecy about what the followers of Christ will say because what they are expecting isn't happening. It is because they follow a man, men actually. Some have to fulfill a role, so do not mark them all bad. The previous verse says they will be proceeding according to their own desires. That would be Paradise. But please go way back to the account of Genesis 1:28. It saying God blessed them and said Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and SUBDUE it. Meaning bondage. You mock me, but that was the plan, not murder.
