1 Corinthians 3:12 is saying we can build our selves up on the
foundation (there is no other foundation) of Jesus Christ.
(because Christ is the head of EVERY man-it is a divine law that
can not be changed, no matter how much you try with crying
or with power). What is the "hay, stubble and some* kinds of wood"
to be avoided? Lies and traditions that are old, dead.
What is gold? To be desired. Have you been paying attention?
Silver, precious stones, and good wood.
The gold and the silver pictures something different for each person,
but that which it is is never associated with a lie. Because
"bad associations spoil useful habits"
"Quit touching the unclean thing and I will take you in" says the Heavenly Father.
Useful habits lead us to God "probably you may be concealed in the day of Jehovah's anger"
Lies lead us away.
