The truth will set you free

John 8:31
Therefore Jesus said to those who had believed what he said, Jews, if you abide in the word of mine truly disciples of me you are, and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

What is the truth that sets a disciple of Jesus free?

The truth is a person can not cause another person to understand anything.

Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, 18men who have gone astray from the truth saying that the resurrection has already taken place, and they upset the faith of some.19Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness.
